Small Biography for invited Talks

Dr. Kumar Padmanabh is working as a Lead Scientist in Corporate Research department of Robert Bosch in the area of Internet of Things. He has interests and expertise in "Wireless Sensor Network", "Intenret of Things" and "Big Data Analytics" mostly applicable to Smart Grid and Energy Management. Earlier he developed energy management solutions using Sensors based Building Tomography and produced several commercially successful products for enterprise buildings. He has more than 14 years of research experience in related areas. Before joining Bosch corporate research, he worked at General Motor Research Lab as a senior researcher and in Infosys Research Lab as Senior Research Scientist, where he started Sensor Networking research group.

Dr. Kumar Padmanabh earned a degree of PhD in wireless sensor network from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and an Executive General Management Program from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. So far he has published more than 36 research papers in international Conferences and Journals, he has written a book chapter and filed 15 patents (9 of them are granted) in USA and India. He is recipient of MIT Technology Review award of year-2010, Infosys Thought Leadership Award of 2010 (highest possible honour from Infosys). His name is listed in Marquis World's who is who 2009 and he is one of the finalists of Indian Mathematics Olympiad 1994. He is actively engaged in creative writing and so far he has published two books (fiction).
